MY STORY
The Road Home
I can’t say I know too many people who began their communications career on the back of a motorcycle and twenty-years later find themselves a Catholic school teacher, aspiring children’s book author and an Airstream renovator. But alas, here I am…a cross between a character from a Billy Joel song and a generally old soul, born during a time period not my own. Or so I’ve been told.
It has been personal and professional experiences from the past few years that have inexplicably changed my life forever. As a woman who truly believes that anything is possible and who sees the good in everyone and everything, it only took one head-on collision with reality to leave an indelible mark on me and reroute my course.
My Toasters
As many of you know, I had to step away from my Airstreams when my Mom was diagnosed with cancer. The good news is that Mom was given a good bill of health in February. But then…Coronavirus happened. The aluminum silver lining? Garage time and Jen the grease monkey are back, in plentitude:)
Mike the Pug..for President?
Long before my Dad ever ran for office, the family pug had his name ready for the ballot. And since Mike has been campaigning for almost 15 years now, I decided it was finally time to revisit my love of American history, government and dogs, and get this campaign on the road.
Some of My Artwork
I’m a classically trained illustrator who loves to paint. The focus of my work is the rich maritime history of NJ, south to the Delmarva Peninsula where I spent my childhood. I hold a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia and a Master of Science.
My New Boat
Okay. When I said “new,” well I kinda pulled a Donna Moss there, and overstated. I meant “new” to me. I’ve been searching for a wooden boat just like my grandfather’s for the better part of two decades. While I haven’t been able to find the exact match, I recently found one that I know would have made him proud. AND, it even came with a red wheel at the helm.
